To begin your fishing excursion on the Knik River, you will meet your guide at the Knik River Public Access at Reflections Lake about 40 minutes by car from Anchorage. Once you are checked in, you will be shuttled up river where you will receive all equipment including fishing tackle, waterproof phone case, kayak or stand up paddle board (SUP), and life vest. After learning how to use all your gear, you will hop into your paddle craft and float/fish your way downriver. With your guide leading the way, you can feel confident you won’t get lost amidst Alaska’s unspoilt wilderness!

As you float down the Knik River, the river current will propel you most of the way so that you can focus on fishing and simply enjoy the incredible scenery around you during your fishing excursion! Any fish you catch up to the limits set by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game are yours to keep and eat when you get home. Your adventure guide will even clean the fish on site for you!

Activity requirements

A current State of Alaska fishing liscence and salmon stamps are needed in order to participate in this activity. The liscence and stamps can be bought here or at most sporting goods stores.

Special terms

If you are not at the designated meeting spot/pick-up within 15 minutes of your activity start time you will be considered a no show.

Per paying adult, one child aged 5 or younger may participate for free as a lap rider. Please let the activity provider know ahead of time to schedule this.
