Practical information

Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just a nature lover, set off to conquer the Valcarlos canyon, located not far from Bidarray, a small village in the French Basque Country bordered by two rivers and recognised by the Natura 2000 network for its splendid flora and the diversity of its easily observed fauna.

At the foot of the Pyrenees, less than a 45-minute drive from Bayonne, Anglet and Biarritz, cool off in the heart of the springs of the River Nive as you descend the Valcarlos canyon at Bidarray in the Basque Country.

Please note:

This canyoning route is quieter than the introductory abseiling route.

You can take your time, open your eyes and marvel at everything around you. You don't need to be in great shape, just want to enjoy yourself!

Accessible from the age of 10, the children's canyoning package will appeal to young and old alike!

You'll be able to (but never have to) jump off rocks (from 2 to 6 metres high!).
