Kiruna is a town located in the northernmost part of Sweden, situated in the province of Lapland. It sits right on the border between both Norway and Finland, 145 km (90 miles) north of the Arctic Circle. Dog sledding is a fun activity to discover Kiruna's beautiful landscapes!

This tour begins either at the meeting point in Kiruna, or with pick-up from your accommodation (please specify when booking). You will meet your experienced guide, who will introduce you to the adorable Siberian Huskies! This breed of dog is really friendly and energetic. Beginners and children are welcome on this all-inclusive tour, you will start off with a safety briefing and dog mushing lesson. You can either share a sled between two, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch midway, or by yourself. Each sled will be pulled by between 3-6 dogs depending on the number of participants.

After dressing in warm Arctic clothing, you will set off driving your sled into the surrounding wilderness. The dogs will eagery pull the sled across the snowy terrain and through the thick pine forests. Make sure to take in the scenery and stillness of this remote location! Midway through, you will stop at a riverside for a hot lunch. This scenic spot is the perfect place to enjoy an outdoor meal and hot drinks. After lunch, you will drive your sled back to the starting point before returning to your pick-up point in Kiruna.

The sledding was brilliant. The dogs were so friendly and they loved to run! We stopped after about 90 minutes for a break and some lunch then headed back. The scenery is just stunning, it really was an amazing experience.

J'ai apprécié en soit l'activité avec les chiens et durant la balade, cela était merveilleux. Cependant certains points m'ont dérangé. En effet, on est venu me chercher en van et la personne m'a à peine parler, et puis on arrive et les chiens sont tous en cages, quand je pose la question de comment ils font l'été on m'explique qu'ils restent dans leur cage pendant 4 mois. J'aurais dû mieux me renseigner car sinon je ne serais surement pas venu. Durant la balade cela va très lentement obligé de ralentir quasiment tout le temps, nous devons suivre une moto neige qui fait du bruit, cela n'est pas très agréable. Enfin, lorsque nous rentrons, le repas est seulement égayé par le "cuisinier" et le repas est plus que mauvais par rapport à d'autres activités effectuées dans la région. Avant même le milieu de mon repas, on vient me chercher pour partir, j'ai donc du manger en rentrant chez moi, et une nouvelle fois on ne m'a pas parler du trajet.
